Re: Gale's Castle (Part 2)
One shakes his head. "Do you really think she'd want you to go around acting crazy?"
|
Re: Gale's Castle (Part 2)
Laena's statement of devotion to Gale in response to her sister replays in Gale's mind.
"I do not wish to live in eternity if I must feed off of others that I care for...." |
Re: Gale's Castle (Part 2)
Gale's face darkens, how long would he be plaugued by these memories? "....Acting crazy? Foolishness. Insanity is a condition, not a whim!"
|
Re: Gale's Castle (Part 2)
One grabs Gale and pushes him onto the wall. "Calm down! She's dead! Let her go!"
|
Re: Gale's Castle (Part 2)
Upon being shoved into a wall, his eyes narrow and he lets out a snarl. In a flash Gale's fist makes contact with his older brother's face. "Why do you always do this?!"
|
Re: Gale's Castle (Part 2)
At the time she spoke these words, her tone was light and amused. Now it was one of genuine worry. "...Do you Abbis do anything other than fight?"
|
Re: Gale's Castle (Part 2)
"...I suppose it's all I know now." Gale speaking to the memories doesn't seem very diffrent then if he was speaking to something really there.
|
Re: Gale's Castle (Part 2)
One takes the hit and stumbles back into a nearby chair. He gets up, angry. "Why do I always do this?! Why do you think?! I'm your brother, Gale! I don't want to see the most powerful Abbissian there is die, there's only a handful of us left!"
|
Re: Gale's Castle (Part 2)
Gale let's out a laugh. "The Abbis are dead, brother, and soon everything else will be too." With that last remark Gale storms off into his room, slamming the door behind him.
|
Re: Gale's Castle (Part 2)
One knew Gale was right, but he never faced the truth. But in this rampage, it didn't matter. One grabbed a chair and sent it flying into the wall. He also stormed off to his room.
|
Re: Gale's Castle (Part 2)
Her voice follows Gale to his room, now angry. Her image appears again, and she's standing in front of him, tears in her eyes.
"I have watched countless men and women fall to the ground dead trying to find and destroy what isn't there! I will not stand and watch the same happen to you!" |
Re: Gale's Castle (Part 2)
"....Does it really matter if I die now?" Gale waves his hand where he 'saw' Laena, but he knows it isn't real, and it is backed up by his hand waving through the memory. Though he hoped somehow he was wrong. "The truth is it doesn't matter. So I'll very well die destroying what isn't there. Except the diffrence is I'll destroy them this time, then I'll die." Gale sits on his bed and drops Sin on the floor. He the curls up in a ball and stares at the wall.
|
Re: Gale's Castle (Part 2)
Her image distorts when Gale waves through her, but she remains. Her footsteps are silent, and the bed does not move when she sits on it. "Are you.. afraid...?"
|
Re: Gale's Castle (Part 2)
Gale continues to stare at the wall. "I fought all of the ones who might try to stop me, none of them can defeat me, and death doesn't scare me. Continuing to live in this pain does. I'm not afraid."
|
Re: Gale's Castle (Part 2)
"It makes no difference what happened already.. Trying to destroy anything that reminds you of it isn't going to help either..."
|
Re: Gale's Castle (Part 2)
"Then what do I do? Wait for the cosmic forces to decied how to cause me more suffering? I'll take revenge, then I'll die. Then I can have peace..."
|
Re: Gale's Castle (Part 2)
"I will not believe that until I see it for myself.." It feels as if her aura is stlil on this earth, and it provides Gale a sense of warmth until it disappears, and suddenly goes ice cold once again.
|
Re: Gale's Castle (Part 2)
One sits on his bed, and looks forward to the mirror. His hair falls to one side. His eyes black as night. He turns his head and stares out the window. Even though he can't see it from there, he looks in the direction of where Tri-Link's would be located. He wonders if Ayn is still in the backroom, and if he should go to warn her of Gale. He stared for a few seconds but didn't move. He knew he couldn't go now, he would have to wait. And what would Ayn do? He's not even sure he'd tell her. He lays back and closes his eyes.
|
Re: Gale's Castle (Part 2)
For a few moments until the aura left him Gale almost felt at peace. When it left him, he let out a loud sigh and fell backwards onto his bed. Sleep would bring nothing but nightmares, but right now nightmares were better then reality. That is what Gale thought before slipping into darkness.

Re: Gale's Castle (Part 2)
As expected, a dream begins. Laena is sitting a distance from Gale in the forest, but as he approaches, she spots him and stands, a smile on her face. She runs up to him, her arms spread out to embrace him, but she suddenly stops short. A sword has pierced her and is portruding from her chest. Blue blood drips from the tip of the sword and stains her dress, and her eyes gaze into Gale's lifelessly.
The assailant removes the sword from Laena, and, as if in slow motion, her body falls with a sickening splatter in the pool of blood before her. Gale now has a clear view of the murderer. It is Ayn. A smirk spreads across her face, and she pinches the flat sides of her sword with two fingers and runs the sword through her grip, wiping the blue blood off her sword. "The Sirens, my children.. Have ended the life of one of their own, as I directed.. Soon you will learn not to underestimate my power, or you will suffer the same fate as this one.." Ayn kicks the body, then turns, disappearing into the forest. |
Re: Gale's Castle (Part 2)
Had Gale been awake, the dream would have puzzled him. While Ayn was a enemy, rarely would any antagonist in a dream be someone who wasn't invovled. Though it seemed the distinct opposite when "Ayn" spoke. With nothing but somone to vent all his hate and anger on he gladly took off after Ayn. "Unlike those wretched monsters you cannot hide behind immortality!"
|
Re: Gale's Castle (Part 2)
One gets up, and looked at the clock. It was 9:00 in the morning. He was still in a bad mood due to the night before. He got up and exited his room.
|
Re: Gale's Castle (Part 2)
Gale wakes up covered in sweat. As expected, his night was full of nightmares and he hardly felt refreshed after now that he was awake. He slowly crawls out of bed and goes to his closet. He grabs a new pair of clothes and changes. After finishing he yawns and looks outside. He notices it's darker then usual, clouds are forming in the sky. "How fitting."
|
Re: Gale's Castle (Part 2)
She screams loudly in Gale's mind.
The floor splits open, and flames erupt from underneath. An invisible force pushes her in, and she disappears in the flames. The same force pushes Gale as well, and in his mind he falls through the pit with Laena. He is now standing in a forest. The trees scream and moan as they sway from side to side in agony, and she lies in front of him, being lashed repeatedly by a flaming whip. Blood oozes from her many wounds, and her cries drown out all other sounds in Gale's mind. |
Re: Gale's Castle (Part 2)
Gale clutches his head. All these memories, dreams and visions were starting to strain his mind. He could only take so much more of this. "Is this suppose to be hell? ....Why won't this all stop?!"
|
Re: Gale's Castle (Part 2)
Laena looks up at Gale, recognizing his voice. Blood drips down from the corners of her mouth, and she gasps for air. She tries to call out to him for help, but the whip wraps itself around her throat, pulling her head back down. The ground catches fire, charring her skin.
|
Re: Gale's Castle (Part 2)
Gale watches in horror. "My nightmares are following me....nothing's been this bad before.... I have to find a way to make this all stop, to keep these images out of my head!" Gale stumbles to his knees while clutching his head, mumbling to himself.
|
Re: Gale's Castle (Part 2)
One walks around, as he was heading to the kitchen, he heard a lot of struggling, like someone was in pain. He walks in the direction of the noise and not surprisingly, he finds Gale's room. One peeks inside and sees Gale clutching his head talking to himself. One opens the door fully and walks up to Gale, he grabs his left arm, spinning him around and forcefully begins shaking him. "Gale, snap out of it! Try to beat whatever is in your head! You know damn well you're stronger than this!!"
|
Re: Gale's Castle (Part 2)
A tree grabs Gale's shoulders with its branches, pinning him against the trunk. A painful, burning force pulls his eyelids open and lifts his chin, forcing him to watch Laena continue to be tortured.
|
Re: Gale's Castle (Part 2)
Gale thrashes and tries to hit the "tree" but ends up hitting One instead. "Let go of me!"
|
Re: Gale's Castle (Part 2)
One's head flings back but he doesn't let go of Gale. But he's had enough. One cocks his right arm back, balls his fist up and hits Gale.
|
Re: Gale's Castle (Part 2)
She finally manages to cry out. "Gale!! Please, don't leave me!" She is immediately consumed by flames.
The tree does not let go of Gale, and another branch reaches up and strikes him hard in the back of the head. |
Re: Gale's Castle (Part 2)
The blow to the head makes the "vision" fade as Gale slips into unconsciousness.
|
Re: Gale's Castle (Part 2)
Gale sorta slumps over in his arms. One sighs and lays Gale down on the bed. He walks out of the room, and heads to the kitchen.
|
Re: Gale's Castle (Part 2)
Gale woke up with a throbbing headache. He slowly rises out of bed, a small feeling of deju vu coming to him. He wasn't sure if being in the forest was something that he dreamed as well. It had to have been, but then why did he have a headach? He sat uncomfortably for a moment, waiting for anything nightmarish to come to him.... Nothing. He let's out a sigh of relief and picks up Sin. He then exits his bedroom.
|
Re: Gale's Castle (Part 2)
One had finished his breakfast and was outside, training. But he was done, and went inside. He heads to the library and begins to read a book about Historical Fighting Techniques.
|
Re: Gale's Castle (Part 2)
Gale trudges into the library and collapses into a chair, he stairs at a wall blankly.
|
Re: Gale's Castle (Part 2)
As Gale walks in, One looks up. It seems Gale doesn't notice him, so One gets up and walks in his direction. "Gale?" He half expected Gale to jump down his throat for knocking him out last night. "How did you sleep?"
|
Re: Gale's Castle (Part 2)
"Like how someone sleeps when you throw them into rapids with rocks tied to their feet." Gale taps his fingers on the arm of his chair, continuing to stare blankly.
|
Re: Gale's Castle (Part 2)
One shifts uncomfortably. He looks down at Gale. "Does the hit still hurt?"
